The transmigration of souls happens when the human soul is reborn as animals, birds, plants or minerals. Based on the karmic baggage, merits and demerits, the soul goes through different processes of evolution.

The state of being reincarnated or rebirth of a soul in a new human body is Reincarnation.
The above is based on the Hindu scriptures. the scriptures opine that based on man’s nature and behaviour, he may be born as any creature, either friendly, aggressive, intelligent, poisonous, slow, clean, etc
For example, we see dogs being pampered in luxury cars and being taken to spas. These are human beings who degenerate.
However, religions like Buddhism and western philosophies believe that a human soul is reborn only in the human body. Once achieving human birth, there is no deterioration. A man goes through all punishments and suffering during his lifetime or in the new births.
