Change is the only constant according to Indian Spiritual Teachings. This body is constantly changing. This body, which is a combination of the five elements, will perish. Nevertheless, the eternal soul, the foundation, substratum, and source for matter, energy, and mind will remain. It is immortal.
What becomes of this soul after the death of this human body? Where does it go? Does it still exist?” Spontaneously arises in most minds. What lies ahead is a profound question that touches the hearts most deeply. These are questions for deep contemplation and investigation. Philosophers, sages, saints, Yogins, thinkers, Swamis, metaphysicians, and prophets have tried their best to solve this question from ancient times.
Do you have time for contemplation? Change is the only constant
When material comforts and luxury immerses an individual, there is no time for contemplation, but the demise of a loved one comes as a rude shock and awakener.
Sages and saints of yore have concluded that soul and God are one. We are made in the image of the divine. We must contemplate and go beyond the mind. It’s important we cultivate virtues. Surrender chanting of mantras, reading of scriptures, selfless service is a route to divinity.
