Many people ask me if a ghost can kill us. Are they capable of killing anyone? This is a valid question and the answer is that we don’t know yet. In the history of paranormal investigation, there has been no report of anyone being killed by a ghost or a spirit. No investigator has ever died in the course of performing his duty.
However, there have been reports of people getting physically hurt during the course of an investigation. The reason for it ranges from objects falling on them to getting marks on their skin. Let me tell you one thing before we move further and understand what ghosts are capable of. The paranormal world or the spirits do not function as portrayed in films or TV shows.
Now, coming back to the question of if a ghost can kill us or not. Ghosts have not killed anyone till now but as paranormal investigators, we cannot rule out the possibility for the sake of sounding optimistic. There are people who believe that ghosts do not have the capability to kill a human but just because it has ever happened does not mean that it will never happen. Being optimistic sells but when you don’t know the true nature of the force you are facing, you cannot comment on its future behaviour. Let us now understand what ghosts are capable of doing to you from what I have experienced.
Can Ghosts Kill? I know they can push
There have been instances where it has been reported that the victim was pushed by a spirit leading him to lose his balance and taking a fall. Luckily, there was no serious injury to him but according to the victim, he felt as if another human pushed him but there was nobody except him in the room. Another account by one of my colleagues suggested that he felt as if someone held one of his feet while he was climbing the stairs of his old house.
There have been several other events that point to the fact that ghosts do have the capability to push you physically.
Ghosts Can Hit
Ghosts do have the capability to hit you. I have heard about people getting the sensation of getting slapped in the dark when no one was around them. There has been no report of any serious injury or at least I have not heard about one. This kind of event usually takes place in a surrounding where there is the presence of very strong energy. The strong energy I am talking about here is usually negative in nature.
Ghosts Can Give Scratch Marks
This is one of the most common occurrences to happen in a haunted place. Cases in which bruise formation due to scratching on the skin have been reported. I have seen marks on people’s legs and back after they leave a place where there is paranormal activity. One of my team members never felt the sensation of being scratched or hurt but when we came out of a place where there was a report of spirit activity, we saw marks like lesions on his shin and even the inner part of his biceps. The marks looked like blood clots.
The interesting thing about these is that people don’t get the sensation of getting hurt or injured. All they are left with are the marks.
Ghosts Can Make You Feel Light-headed
Another thing that a spirit is capable of doing is to make you feel dizzy and light-headed. The mere presence of such energy can cause you to faint. This is another event that has happened in the past especially to the investigators, investigating paranormal places. Bleeding of the nose is another event that has been reported previously. The feeling of dizziness can be due to the fact that spirits use energy to communicate with us and when people are not able to be around such an immense source of energy then they feel dizzy and light-headed leading them to either faint or fall.
Feeling of Heaviness
This the most common sensation we paranormal researchers feel when we are around a spirit or paranormal entity. It begins from your head and travels to your shoulder. The feeling of carrying someone on the top of your head is also felt. You can even have a headache due to the constant heaviness surrounding your head. Another thing that I have seen is that people also get nauseous when they are around a field of foreign energy.
Can Ghosts Kill? They Can Definitely Influence Us
A ghost may not kill us but can influence us and that is something very bad in a paranormal investigation. By this I mean the negative energy arising from a negative entity can also harm your mental well being. Spirits or ghosts are nothing but energies. They float around us in energy form. We humans also have something that we call our aura. It is basically the energy surrounding us. When both these energies collide then the ghost or the spirit can use its energy to enter into ours. This leads them to have a say in our activities. It just wants to quench its thirst by making us a part of its body. This is very dangerous and is considered one of the worst things a spirit or a ghost can do to you.

There have been no reports of anything like that in any paranormal investigation. Again I would like to reiterate that no one has ever been killed by a ghost or at least there has been no official report of such an event but there is no empirical evidence suggesting that ghosts are not capable of killing a human. It is something that has never happened and we hope that it never does. But being cheerful is not enough.
The only thing you can do is to stay away from any place where you feel a sense of negativity or eeriness. We as paranormal researchers have the training to handle such situations because we have seen things and have the experience to understand such an occurrence. But if such things ever happen to you, don’t hesitate before taking the help of an experienced paranormal investigation.

Please remember that any physical or emotional discomforts a person experiences can mostly be due to various diseases or emotional conditions he or she is going through. I have seen that majority of cases do not involve paranormal activity of any kind. Paranormal events are extremely rare occurrences. Hence your problems should be first brought to the notice of a qualified medical practitioner. I have often seen that the line between borderline personality disorders or other psychiatric disorders and “spirit possession” is thin. Hence a good paranormal investigator should advise his clients that professional medical care is the first solution or remedy for any physical or emotional discomfort.
Remember, you need to be a sceptic first to develop into a paranormal investigator. You need to rule out every single scientific possibility that is known to mankind to identify anything that is paranormal. Hence travel through the path of modern science, explore and unravel all facts using data and what cannot be explained through science is what we need to explore more through the paranormal arena. Most of your clients may feel desperate due to whatever they are going through. It’s your duty to act responsibly. Guide them through the path of modern science. Refrain from being a doctor or healer. There are qualified medical practitioners out there who can do their job well. Avoid any forms of advice on religious or cultural rituals or for that matter any ritualistic practices.
