He had bought a sports car for he was an enthusiast. He came to me and complained that he does not drive as he is too afraid that he will be involved in an accident. Depossession revealed that he was controlled by a spirit that had died in a car crash.
Another patient, a female from Pune, said that she was drowsy and fainted when she was about to leave her house to come for an appointment. She said that she never felt this way as the urge to not show up was too high for her to control.
Developing a Phobia
Catching some phobia can also be among the signs of spirit possession. My theory is that it is very closely related to the circumstances in which the person had died. When people get possessed, the fears of the spirit get attached to the patient and since the spirit is afraid of one thing, so is the person. But, what we are seeing is the spirit being afraid of a scenario and not the patient, as mentally he is not in control.
Let me tell you the case of a patient, a male from the southern part of India. He underwent surgery after which he did not want to drive as he became really anxious. Also, the person was comfortable if somebody else was in the driving seat. But, this is where it gets interesting. Whenever they took the bridge to go to the beach, he became very anxious. He had constant sweating due to the panic he felt while taking that route. This was a really curious case as the patient used to love driving before the surgery.
Under hypnosis, I found out the signs of spirit possession. Inside him resided a young male entity. The spirit had jumped from the same bridge due to some issues and was admitted to the same hospital as the patient. The person had actually succumbed to his injuries and had died in the same room in which the guy was operated on. The spirit did not like being in the morgue and roamed on the upper floor where he possessed the patient. I tried to do away with the spirit from the patient as thought that he was possessed. He found it very difficult to process the panic and the anxiety that was coming from him.
Depression
Now, let me address the elephant in the room, depression. Depression and Possession are related more than anyone thinks. Some people are of the belief that depression is the clinical term for possession. However, I will not go into the whole Depression vs Possession debate and talk about what I think is the right way to look at things.
I have seen people being depressed as they were possessed by a downhearted spirit who did not realize that he was no longer alive. Some people who die by committing suicide, find it hard to pass on to the other side as they are too afraid to go to hell. They don’t want to let go of the physical universe as they think that hell awaits them. Some spirits also don’t find it comfortable as they are not able to see their loved ones after death. These spirits usually are still of a suicidal mindset after their death and continue to pose a threat to people whom they possess.

Please remember that any physical or emotional discomforts a person experiences can mostly be due to various diseases or emotional conditions he or she is going through. I have seen that majority of cases do not involve paranormal activity of any kind. Paranormal events are extremely rare occurrences.
