We all have heard the term “demon”, at some point in our lives. So what are Demons? Most of us know what it signifies – negativity. But to understand the meaning of demons and why is it so scary in any paranormal investigation, we need to understand it from a different viewpoint.
Demons are considered as negative entities who show evil traits. They are also known to bow down to Satan who controls them and their actions. According to my view demons are fallen angels who have sinned and lost the trust of God. They pray to Satan and derive all their power from him and the people who fear them. A demon wants to be revered and prayed by people. It wants all your attention and aims to rule and thrive on our weaknesses.
Let us now move forward with the intention to try and understand the meaning of demons in a broadway ( Western Learnings ). I will also take into account my encounters with demons that will help you know more about them.
An Introduction – Meaning of Demons
Whenever I’ve had an encounter with a demon, the one thing that it always brought was the foul odour. Therefore, the meaning of demons is synonymous with a foul odour in any paranormal investigation. It smells as if someone has thrown rotten eggs in your room. The smell itself is so strong and disgusting that it sometimes also causes a feeling of nausea. You also feel a deep chill and fear rise from your toes and travel across your spine to your ears.
The feeling of anxiety also comes into play which causes a whirling sensation in your stomach. It is not a very pleasant feeling. You want to get away from it and you should. The kind of negativity the whole atmosphere emanates from such an evil presence might even cause scratches on your body.
So, whenever I spot scratches, foul odour, and the feeling of negativity that sends a chilling sensation across my body, I just leave the place immediately. Getting out of the affected place or a room is followed by detoxing myself and then just finding a place where I can pray. Praying during such a scenario in a paranormal investigation or not is of importance as it helps to ensure that I am not carrying them with me.
Demons and Angels Co-exist
Just know that demons and angels co-exist in our world. Many paranormal investigations are proof of this. They both have been around for the longest time. So, you just cannot get rid of one if they decide to follow you or cling on to you. It all depends on what they want and what is their intention. Usually, the intention of a demon is to cause physical and emotional damage to you and the people around you.
Hence, you have to be very careful and leave such things to people who have experience in the field and have special capabilities to negotiate with the situation. I myself have seen and felt a number of demons over the course of my life but managed to come out fine from the situation. Again I would like to reiterate that I would not choose to get into such a scenario again. There are people who are willing and are okay with doing so. Therefore, you should leave it with them when it comes to demons.
Why Should You Not Encourage Negative Entities?
Another reason why I don’t encourage anyone to get into a skirmish with a demon because once you decide to fight with them, it becomes a war of a lifetime. You can not choose to leave the fight in the middle. The demon loves to fight you and it finds satisfaction in hurting you and the people around you.
A demon neither forgets nor forgives. It can even remember your name and will follow you everywhere you go to make your life difficult. Even then if you decide to take up that fight and end up evoking or annoying a demon then you will find yourself in such disarray that you won’t be able to get out of it.
This is the reason that I rarely prick or annoy any supernatural entity in any paranormal investigation. You don’t know at the start if the energy you are feeling is positive or negative. You also do not have an idea regarding if it is indeed a demon or not. So, I never start with being annoying or too stingy at the start. My protocol is to first check for initial signs and then decide whether if I want to fully immerse myself in it or not. All I want to convey is that always listen to your gut as I always do the same.
Pray to your Spirit Guides if you Feel a Presence
I know that they are watching me and trust me it does feel strange. I can not do anything about it except for praying. I keep on praying to my Angels and Spirit Guides to fortify me against any evil. This is because I know that I can not defend myself from them and that I require all the help I can get.
One thing that I really want to convey to my readers is that whenever you encounter such a situation, just leave the place. You don’t have to get into any scuffle with such an entity. There are professionals who have studied these things and know how to respond to any crisis.
Why Do Demons Stay or What Does it Possess?
Demons usually prefer living. By living I mean the souls of the people who are still alive and walking on the face of the earth. Whereas a ghost usually goes after the soul of a person who is no more.
Demons are not that easy to find or have an encounter with. They usually seem to reside in places where there is a regular frequency of humans visiting. This does not mean that they only found in places where humans frequent. I’ve been to certain obsolete places from where you could just feel the negativity and an aura of evil just proliferating. I no longer want to visit such places for the sole reason of the energy they emit.
A demon can be virtually everywhere and anywhere. It has the ability to catch you anywhere. It can be an old home or some dilapidated place with a past.
To Conclude (With My Story)
I remember when I was around 12 years old, I was visiting my grandparent’s house in the village. There was an old house on the way to my grandparent’s house. It looked like a normal property and had certainly seen its best days. Whenever I went near the house or was crossing it, I felt a deep sense of chill run through my spine and even a feeling of nausea. I could feel it in my gut, the discomfort.
A few months later, a very respected priest visited my grandparent’s house and confirmed to them that even he felt a sense of strong negative energy when he crossed the old house on his way.
To this day, whenever I think of that house, I feel uneasy. However, there have been instances when I’ve felt the same when I am supposed to check out some haunted location. Whenever I get that feeling, I stop. The reason is that whenever you try to confront a demon, the odds are not in your favour. Of course, there is a higher authority but you can not depend solely on the higher authority to save you. So, I always advise people to not indulge in confrontations and just leave if they find themselves in such uncharted territories.
However, it is rather rare for a person to stumble upon a demon. The chances are really low. But all I want to tell you is that demons exist and they are real. So, whenever you visit a place where you feel gloomy and uneasy, just leave. Now you understand the true meaning of demons and why should you stay away!
