Without fail, there are certain common haunting places around the globe where paranormal activity is always present. In this blog, we will quickly look at the haunted places with frequent ghost sightings and paranormal activity. Let’s get started!
Haunting Place – Burial Grounds
Burial grounds are hotspots for paranormal activity. We’ve heard about Indian Burial Grounds being something you don’t want to defile in any way. Unfortunately, many burial grounds were never recorded as such. Therefore, many homes and buildings have later been found to be built right on top of them. I’ve come across homes, apartments or entire housing societies known to be built on top of old gravesites. I guess partly because many years ago, in the times of terribly contagious diseases, instead of digging up the graves and possibly exposing the population to the disease, they often merely demarked the graves, erected new buildings, and life went on. Although this step was taken keeping the best intentions in mind, it didn’t make the souls in those graves very happy.
Therefore, we should always be mindful that any grounds because they are active haunting place. These were thought or designated to be sacred, be it burial or ceremonial, are much disturbed when we move atop them. Also, it is never entirely possible to change the purpose or the energy of the land without affecting it. Sometimes we can make peace with the energies that still reside there (I believe in many cases merely to oversee it) to co-exist. No guarantees, though, as the ghost may not want to peacefully co-exist or tolerate the seeming heresy, regardless of how innocent or unintentional it may have been, or you may be.
Also highly haunted are any places where dark rituals have happened
Think of a negative ritualistic haunting place. This too serves as paranormal activity hotspot. These never fail to continue to attract more negativity in the way of hostile ghosts and entities for many years to come, perhaps even for eternity. These are places where the energy has been corrupted, and it will take a lot of new and very positive energy to record over the dense, harsh, unpleasant, and heavy energy of the area. Therefore, these are places you don’t want to ever visit, let alone live.
Haunting Place – A Spot With a History of Horrible Events
Hauntings nearly always occur wherever some horrible thing has happened. Thus these places are hotspots for paranormal activity. Places hold the energy of events. They even grab the energy of the emotions of the people who experienced the event, both the victims and the perpetrators. Therefore, if something charged with negative emotions has happened in or around your home, it’s likely haunted. Often, even if it’s only in the vicinity of your house, the ground can still absorb enough of the event to create a ripple effect into the surrounding areas. Spots that come to mind as rather prominent examples are prisons, concentration camps, places of a mass tragedy such as the Twin Towers, Underground Railroad houses, any house where a crime has occurred, and all battlegrounds.
Think of the Civil War battlegrounds as they too are active haunting place. Any location where a person experiences intense emotion usually has some haunting residue left meandering about. And, if there were large numbers of people involved, the energy is only further condensed. Then, the larger the number of people involved, the more extreme the emotion was, the more noticeably and actively haunted the location.
Haunting Place – Abandoned Hospitals and Funeral Parlors
Also, anywhere near either of these places is hotspots for paranormal activity. Wherever deaths are common, even when of the gentler variety, at least occasional hauntings will occur. Souls sometimes don’t know they’ve passed and are reluctant to cross over. Thus, they remain, and they roam around looking for someone to help them understand what they need to do next. Too, sometimes they wander for reasons not so pleasant. So building in or around hospitals and funeral homes can be tricky.
Haunting Place – An ancient building or house
It only makes sense that these properties have stored the energy of everything that’s gone on before. It might be great energy, and it might not be. The only thing that’s for sure is if it’s an old structure, it’s been through some stuff. Meaning every victory and celebration, love and heartbreak, as well as every fall and hardship, has been recorded to one extent or another.
Again, the more challenging or more extraordinary the event, the denser the emotion stored at a place of haunting. On that same note, know too that all the inhabitants’ energy is also stored in varying degrees. An example of this might be one in which you purchase a property that a psychic lived in. Suppose it was a road-weary psychic who knew how to protect the property. In that case, you’ll likely still experience perhaps a few ghost survivors who are still hanging around looking for their friend, but they’ll only be of the pleasant variety and likely won’t stay for long.
Plus, you may even have purchased a quiet, serene, and well spiritually tended house due to the psychic’s efforts. But it still can be a haunting place. This would be an excellent find. On the other hand, if you purchased the property of a psychic who practiced ritual magic, realize that they’ve drawn things into the home that was a part of their belief system. As such, the energy might feel “off” to those who are not a part of it. But, if a psychic who practiced black magic owned your property, you’ve purchased a problem. The house will be full of dark energy and dark spirits. These energies don’t even care that the psychic is gone because you’re enough.
Random Places Known to be Haunted
Like they say, where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire. Thus, if you hear of a haunting place that others claim to have had experiences in, chances are, you will too. So unless you’re prepared to deal with the fall-out, you might pass. There most certainly are many other sites and circumstances that openly incite haunting experiences, but these are the top six. So before buying any property, always look into these things before signing the dotted line. And, if you’re purchasing one of the above types of properties, know that the energies your place has encountered will indeed influence it. Therefore, random places are hotspots for paranormal activity.
The only real question is, “How Much?” Unfortunately, you won’t know that about haunted places or place of haunting until you’ve unpacked your bags. Sometimes you won’t know for several months after having moved in. Hopefully, the energy has either faded or gone dormant, and you’ll be free to record new memories and implant new energies in your home. But I’d hesitate if there are any signs that a haunting might exist.
Often Land is Also Among the Haunted Places
Remember to also check out the land. Just because you’re building a new home doesn’t mean much. The land and all the organic substances in the land will hold onto energy as much or more so than any piece of wood or marble might. So before you ever think of piling in the bunk beds, figure out precisely what history you are inheriting. Maybe you can begin by asking the current owner what they know about the house and property. Then ask the neighbors. You can also pull up copies of the local newspaper archives, visit a historian, or get a copy of the original property abstract.
Seriously, you can’t do too much. It’s just so much easier to know what you’re facing going in than finding out after you’ve already committed to something. Much like you want the history of any used car, you also need to get your house or property history. Remember, every thought, action, and deed is energy. You are in energy. Your thoughts and feelings are energy. Every event you ever encounter brings in more energy. And, the dead are now nothing but energy. Energy begets energy.
