If there is a paranormal being residing in your house, know that they will make their presence known. Now, to do that, they use a number of methods. It can either be through whispers, physical sensations, electrical malfunctions, battery drains, or ghost smells. Yes, the smell is even a sign of haunting. It is a way in which the spirit tries to communicate with you. In this blog, we will discover a bit about ghost smell and what to do in such cases of paranormal activity.
Ghost Smell as a Sign of Paranormal Activity
One of the major signs of paranormal activity is ghost smells. The smell is one of the easiest and most powerful ways for a ghost to communicate with us. Although this wasn’t the first thing that I noticed in my paranormal experience, it was very prominent. However, at this moment, it is very common for me to experience smells. In fact, it’s often one of the most obvious and frequent manifestations many report experiencing. Today, when I’m working with a client I often smell cigars, perfumes, favourite flowers, and even flowers that represent the spirit’s name who is trying to get through.
Ghosts can and do often manifest smells in much the same way spirits can. Therefore, if you’re trying to discern if there’s a ghost in your house, try to avoid wearing cologne till you notice a pattern. Instead, take down the smell volume by even turning off scent dispensers. Also, don’t spray room freshener, smoke, wear anything with too much fabric softener smell, or even use breathy mints or suck on lozenges. Most definitely, don’t cook anything. In other words, make your house smell as bland as it possibly can for a night or two. That way, you can start from a clean slate in order to detect the smell.
Ghost Smell is Transitory
One thing to note is that ghost smells are usually transitory in nature. Meaning, you catch a whiff, then they’re gone. So, if you briefly smell something rather strongly, don’t dismiss it, as lingering scents isn’t really their thing. Sometimes though, even if your house smells very prominently different, a ghost can manage to get their smell through. The key for you is not to ignore the smell, as it’s only there for a minute before it’s gone entirely. I know that I get a lot of information from one single smell of anything I feel isn’t coming from me.
Just like in life, a smell can tell you a lot about a person, it can tell you a lot about a ghost/spirit. It can tell you if your ghost is male or female. It can tell you their name or favourite smell (i.e., if you smell a rose their name might be Rose). This paranormal activity can definitely clue you in as to whether they drink or smoke. All things that might come in handy once you’re ready to work with the ghost in order to try to get them to vacate your space. In addition, smells let you know rather distinctly when there’s something other than you residing in your space.
To Wrap It Up
Whether you believe in paranormal activity or not, one thing you must note is to not disregard the spirit or ghost. They do not like that. If the ghost didn’t want you to know it was there, you wouldn’t have smelled the ghost smell in the first place. So ignore it and things will likely ramp up, as most ghosts simply hate to be ignored. Now, the only caution I will share here is that negative entities and demons are also big on smell. Often, lasting smell and too gross, as if something was rotting. Always, negative smells. Smells that will make you sick to your stomach. Thus, the smell is such an important identifier. You simply can’t afford to overlook it. You cannot overlook it.
