What is Channelling?
During channelling, a person’s body acts like a temporary home for a spirit. It is done so that we, the mortals, are able to establish a connection between our world and the realm of the spirits. Channelling enables a person to talk to the spirit. In addition, it also enables them to exchange information.
Channelers are also called psychic mediums and make use of spirit guides who help them in their spiritual expedition. Spirit guides are friendly spirits who protect the mediums and also give them the essential knowledge to talk to spirits.
What Does Channelling Do?
There are many stories of people who claim that they have been successful in establishing connections. Some accounts also suggest that people are also able to hear spirits from the other realm. I know a very old woman in the mountains near Shimla who is able to establish such connections. She says that she is able to talk to her husband and also her mother.
However, there is no empirical evidence that suggests that the information is indeed coming from a spirit. The information that is derived from channelling can not be proved. You only believe what you see. There are numerous other people who say that the information is coming from spirits.
One such story is of a man from Andhra Pradesh. The man boasted about being able to establish communication with the spirits. When my team went to his town and met him, it was clearly understood that the man was actually lying all this time. He was cheating people of his town by impersonating a witch doctor and was asking for donations to help people talk to their dear departed. So, yes there are instances when this is also misused by people for personal gain.
Information Can Be Disputed
From what I have seen, the information we get from channelling is different. It is often contradictory from different sources. Paranormal entities or spirits who are roaming in our universe often give varied accounts. If a spirit is truly giving wisdom or important information then one can conclude that all of them say the same thing.
Research, however, shows us that the channelled information keeps on changing with the age one lives in. There is a big shift in trends as one reads the data from different generations. Also, there are limited ways to verify the information that is available at our disposal. Especially to ascertain if the information has any veracity or no.
We think that the veracity of channelling can only be verified if the spirit gives out information that is only known to him/her. This will enable us to know if things are real or just a hoax. For example – If a man has died unexpectedly. In such a case, channelling can help his wife know about the money and his other investment. Imagine how cool it would have been if someone was able to channel Einstien. It would have helped us know even more things about him and his life. This would also help in proving that channelling is indeed possible.
Another plus of paranormal channelling would be in the field of policing and law enforcement. If people were able to establish a connection with the spirits then it would have helped in finding out the culprit. In addition, if the person died because of murder or any other suspicious circumstance, it is highly helpful.
