Other than the usual tool like a camera or a camcorder, that we use in a paranormal investigation, there are a few other ghost hunting tools that a paranormal expert must have in their kit. In this excerpt, we have listed them out!
Ghost Hunting Tools – Holy Water
If you can get your hands on some blessed water from clergy or priest, by all means, do so. If you don’t have a way of getting holy water, just get some water and bless it. Just know that this really does work. It cleanses, revitalizes, and removes bad energy from an area immediately. I always feel instant results after using it.
Ghost Hunting Tool – Sage/Sweetgrass Stick.
You can just use a sage stick as a ghost hunting tools. You may or may not use the sweetgrass. I’ve simply always used this particular combination of herbs because I’ve found them to be quite effective in the cleansing of space. In fact, I take a sage stick to absolutely every paranormal site I go to. In addition, I sage my own home anytime I think there’s something lurking. And for the most part, it just goes away without any fuss. It’s said that the Native Americans used “Smudging” with different herbs, including sage to cleanse space. They also used sage in many of their religious ceremonies.
This is why sage is one of the most important ghost hunting tools for a paranormal investigation. Quite a few paranormal experts use this ghost hunting tool. The main thing is that it works. Therefore, I can never stop using it. I don’t know if it’s the sage, the smoke, or the ritual of using it that makes many ghosts evacuate a space. At times I imagine it could be a bit of all three. I only know that this magic little bundle of herbs works. Therefore, I highly recommend you keep one on hand at all times as I do.
Ghost Hunting Tools – Sea Salt
Sea salt is thought by many to have purifying energy to it. It’s also believed to ward off evil spirits. This is why it makes a good ghost hunting tool in a paranormal investigation. Some use it to surround their houses, to line their doorways and windows, and others simply throw it towards any area they feel something negative exists in. I have my own way of using it, which I’ll share in a moment, but I use it a lot.
Again, it is super cheap and worth getting. And I believe it’s part ritual and part sea salt that makes this process work. However, since everything is made up of energy, and everything has its own purpose on this Earth plane, the salt and the sage themselves may very well contain certain properties that make them work as effectively as they do. For sure I know we infuse them with the energy of our intention while using them. But again, it works.
Ghost Hunting Tools – Crystals
Crystals are mysterious things. They are a package in themselves. Often in my paranormal investigation, I carry it with me. The crystal I use is about 25 years old. Stones absorb energy, and therefore, emit some too. So, even if you are not well-versed with them, it is better to take all precautions before hand. Theser are some of the stones and crystals that I use – rose quartz, diamond, agate, tumbled quartz, black obsidian, and hematite. A few paranormal expert say that Obsidian and Hematite are anti-ghost protector stones. Both are black in colour. These stones are highly effective in warding off negative energy.
Ghost Hunting Tools – Religious &/or Blessed Relics
In my little bag of stones I usually also place a religious relic of some sort. Many paranormal expert use it in their paranormal investigation. If you have a religious relic that means something to you, use it. So while these types of things do sometimes tick off the negative and demonic energies, they give you enough added safety, power, and confidence to make it worth carrying in with you. Also, remember that these items have been infused with the energy of what they mean to us. Too, they’ve been infused by the energy of group consciousness in what they mean to large masses of people.
They Save You and Can Even Empower You
There’s simply so much power in faith and belief. Therefore, these ghost hunting tools can not only save but also empower you to a great extent. Use that powerful energy to your benefit by carrying with you what you know to be good, powerful, and beneficial, because then it will be. There is true and tangible power in any blessed object. Whether that’s due to the fact that now your relic or item has been doubly infused with the energy of what those we respect feel them to be, or whether it’s now that they are blessed we believe them to be more special, I can’t honestly say. I can say is that it matters, and likely again, is a bit of both.
But hang them, wear them, keep one at your bedside, in your pocket, and definitely have one near whenever you encounter a ghost or entity. As I said, the demon in my one house was infuriated whenever I pulled out the Bible. Back then I was still too inexperienced to know that the Gita was weakening him and that’s why he was so infuriated. Today I know better. I know that my faith in what the Gita stood for, along with the combined energy of all who hold the Gita sacred, empowers it. As such, I’d do things very differently now.
Hold Your Ground
It is important to hold your ground. Do not panic in a paranormal investigation. If you feel like you are under attack, grab your religious relic or any other ghost hunting tool. Pray to God, pray frivolously. There is a lot of power in your prayers. Know also though that if what you’re dealing with is your garden-variety ghost (which it likely is), they are rather comforted by your religious relics too.
It seems they can see you have their best interest at heart and might move on rather peacefully as a result of your having one handy. I remember seeing a few times on Paranormal State how they buried religious/blessed crosses at the four corners of a property in order to keep evil from entering the property. Apparently, it should work. Therefore, if I had a serious haunting problem I’d likely bury religious relics at the four corners too. Every little bit helps. And who knows, this might just help a big bit. Again, there’s always power in faith and any object that ignites faith in you, so use them often.
Ghost Hunting Tools – Tar Water
Let me first make it clear that I have never incorporated this as a preventive measure. However, I have heard from a number of paranormal experts claiming and vouching for its reliability. I’d have to say I likely wouldn’t use it either for the very same reason. However, it’s supposedly very powerful. It was said that one drop of this water in every room of your house will not only remove the ghosts, it will also keep them from ever returning.
So while I can’t say how effective this is having never used it, I can say that if the need ever arose I wouldn’t hesitate to try it. Therefore, if you have ghosts that are really a problem and you have no need or desire to ever contact another ghost, or perhaps even a spirit, as I’m not sure exactly what all gets banished, then give it a shot. If Amy recommends it, I imagine it works. For Tar Water, you can contact any alternative, metaphysical, or new age shop in your area.
These are some of the major ghost hunting tools. I’m sure there are plenty more things you could try, but I’ve never needed anything else. In any case, for a paranormal expert, many things can work in a paranormal investigation. These few, relatively inexpensive things, usually do the trick quite nicely, at least for me.
My advice to you
Please remember that any physical or emotional discomforts a person experiences can mostly be due to various diseases or emotional conditions he or she is going through. I have seen that majority of cases do not involve paranormal activity of any kind. Paranormal events are extremely rare occurrences. Hence your problems should be first brought to the notice of a qualified medical practitioner. I have often seen that the line between borderline personality disorders or other psychiatric disorders and “spirit possession” is thin. Hence a good paranormal investigator should advise his clients that professional medical care is the first solution or remedy for any physical or emotional discomfort.
Remember, you need to be a sceptic first to develop into a paranormal investigator. You need to rule out every single scientific possibility that is known to mankind to identify anything that is paranormal. Hence travel through the path of modern science, explore and unravel all facts using data and what cannot be explained through science is what we need to explore more through the paranormal arena. Most of your clients may feel desperate due to whatever they are going through. It’s your duty to act responsibly. Guide them through the path of modern science. Refrain from being a doctor or healer. There are qualified medical practitioners out there who can do their job well. Avoid any forms of advice on religious or cultural rituals or for that matter any ritualistic practices.
